This is a collaborative piece created by Vincent Marcone (My Pet Skeleton) & Ryan Price

With a last name like "Price" (Ryan Price) and a first name like "Vincent" (Vincent Marcone)... the decision to merge our names to officially brand our collaborations was an easy one. Vincent & Price. 

This painting is a collaborative work between myself and one of my favourite artists, Ryan Price. We met years ago, having heard of each other's work in the local art scene and became fast friends. Both of us have solid roots in print making  and share similar interests in exploring the psychological bits and pieces of various strange myths and fairytales. We've been drawing and painting together for quite sometime, and this is the first piece we've decided to release on my site. 

"The Pagan Seed" examines how many myths and legends are often on the verge of extinction but can be resurrected at any moment by one good storyteller, musician, director or artist... these "seeds" lay in wait and can grow and blossom at any moment to resurface back into the current lexicon or culture.

This original mixed media piece was created with liquid graphite, pencil, acrylic paint and paper pulp residue from an image transfer on birch wood canvas. 

The wood canvas is wrapped with a hand crafted maple wood frame (Ryan is also a custom framer) stained with a striking ebony stain. It has a kind of shadow box effect which really pulls focus onto the painting (which is protected with a UV satin glaze) and does not require glass. This piece also comes with an official certificate of authenticity that is signed by each artist.

The shipping and handling is included in the price (Canada & US), which will be packed with tender loving care and will be boxed and protected with several hard layers of cardboard not to mention a multitude of bubble wrap. It will include a tracking number. 

This framed piece is  ready to hang.

WHAT IS A GICLÉE PRINT?

A giclée print is created with special fade-resistant archival inks and printed on acid free textured paper stock. They are also known as museum quality prints since they have a similar life span as most original water colors (depending, of course, on the lighting conditions). Each piece is hand titled and signed by the artist in pencil. If you are a collector and want this work to retain it's value (or more), this is your best option. All of my giclée prints are printed in LIMITED EDITIONS. 

WHAT IS A LIMITED EDITION?

A limited edition means that there are only a certain number of prints created. The specific number of the edition is identified in the bottom left hand corner of each piece. 

WHAT IS AN OPEN EDITION?

An open edition means that there is no set number of prints created.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR ME TO GET MY ORDER?

All orders will be packed and shipped within 3 days of your purchase. Shipping times may vary but normally you will receive your package within 2 weeks of shipping. For international orders without a tracking number it can take 2-6 weeks.

HOW IS THE WORK SHIPPED? 

If the work is larger than 10" by 10" it will be carefully packed in an acid free slip and rolled into a super hefty kraft tube. If it's smaller than 10" by 10" it will be packed between 2 very thick pieces of cardboard and mailed flat*.

*if you have bought a large print AND a smaller print, then both pieces will be shipped in the same tube, unless one of those items is a giclée miniature, then both items will be sent flat OR separately (at no extra cost to you).
